BEAST ACADEMY
At Southeast Beast Academy, we offer more than just hockey training — we provide a complete development experience tailored for dedicated, homeschool student-athletes. Each morning features structured, purposeful training focused on skating, puck skills, off-ice strength, and leadership development. Our experienced staff oversees every aspect of the development model, ensuring each athlete follows a clear, age-appropriate path designed for long-term success. Afternoons are reserved for academics at home, giving families the flexibility to support both education and athletic growth in a balanced, sustainable way. The academy promotes discipline, time management, and personal accountability — qualities that extend far beyond the rink. If your athlete is motivated and ready to grow, Southeast Beast Academy is the place to help them be the Beast they can be.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the academy cost?
Please contact Coach John or Coach Frankie for pricing and payment options.
Will the academy model cause burnout?
No. Our coaches understand the physical and mental demands of the hockey season, which is why the academy is designed to enhance development without overloading the athlete. Morning sessions focus on technical skill advancement, hockey IQ, and precision, rather than high-impact, physically taxing drills. Off-ice training is front-loaded early in the week, with intensity tapering as the weekend approaches to support recovery, reduce injury risk, and keep players fresh and game-ready. The result is a smart, balanced model that develops better players — not burned-out ones.
My child isn’t a travel hockey player — is this the right fit?
Yes and no. If your player is driven, coachable, and committed to improving, Beast Academy can be a great fit — regardless of their current level of play. However, if your child is still figuring out their passion for hockey or not yet ready for a structured, high-expectation environment, we encourage you to reach out to our staff. We’re happy to guide you toward a program that aligns better with your player’s current goals and stage of development.
What skills do you prioritize during the on-ice sessions?
Our primary focus is on skating, as it’s the foundation of every great hockey player. We also dedicate significant time to puck handling, passing, shooting, and situational awareness to ensure athletes develop as well-rounded, confident players. Each session is designed to build technical precision, game-applicable skills, and strong habits that translate directly to in-game success.
My player is only 10 years old — will he be lifting weights with the older players?
No. Our off-ice training is age-specific and carefully structured to match each athlete’s developmental stage. Younger players do not train alongside older athletes during resistance sessions, and all exercises are designed to promote proper movement, coordination, and injury prevention — not early weightlifting. Safety, age-appropriateness, and long-term athletic development are our top priorities.
