8u Learn to Beast Development
Learn to Beast 8U is designed to introduce young players to the game of hockey in a fun, positive, and supportive environment. Through age-appropriate instruction, players develop fundamental skating, puck-handling, passing, and shooting skills while building confidence and learning the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. Our goal is to help players establish a strong foundation and a lifelong love for the game.
Ages
Appropriate players: This program is designed for players in the 8U age division, typically birth years 2018–2020. It is best suited for beginner to early-intermediate players who are developing basic skating and hockey skills. Some exceptions may be made for younger players based on program readiness.
When/ where
The Learn to Beast 8U program runs from June 6th through August 1st. Sessions take place on Saturdays at 4:45 PM at the Ice Chalet. Please note there will be no session on July 4th.

What do I do if I don’t have any hockey gear or am missing key pieces of equipment?
We have a variety of lightly used equipment in different sizes and are happy to help properly outfit players in the program.

Southeast Beast 8U Learn to Beast Program is designed to introduce young players to the game of hockey in a fun, positive, and encouraging environment. Our focus is on developing fundamental skating, puck-handling, passing, and shooting skills while building confidence and fostering a love for the game. Through age-appropriate instruction and engaging on-ice activities, players will learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and the basics of hockey, creating a strong foundation for future development and enjoyment of the sport.
